About Danielle
I am a Neurocience student at Leeds University, however my passion is for language and literature. I achieved two A*'s at GCSE level (English Language and English Literature) and an A at A-level (Combined lang/lit).
Previously, I have coached three GCSE level individuals, all of whom improved on their mock performance by at least one grade.

I am able to give lessons to students up to A-level, as this is the level to which I studied; I have no preference for topics, however poetry is my passion.
Due to the abstract nature of literature, I prefer to begin lessons by encouraging a student to provide me with their own interpretation of a piece of writing (Eg. what do the blue curtains signify here). Such a method allows me to grasp the way of thinking of the student, thus tailoring my lesson in a way that suits their learning type best. Additionally, I am able to give my interpretation of a piece and compare answers; the study of literature is such that any one individual may perceive a piece of writing completely differently to their peers- both points of view can be expressed in an equally effective and intelligent manner. The knowledge that this is the case gives a student the confidence to express a profound, and otherwise disregarded, point of view.
