About Dr Edward Wickstead

Dr. Edward Wickstead is a Professor of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at Midwestern University, USA. Prior to his appointment, Dr Wickstead has received research training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. He obtained his Ph.D and Bachelors degree from Queen Mary and King's College London, respectively.

Originally from Essex, Dr. Wickstead has over 10 years of private tutoring experience at multiple levels, including KS3, GCSE/iGCSE, A Level, Undergraduate and Masters.

Dr Wickstead loves tutoring the next generation and has taught a diverse array of students, boosting their skills and helping prepare them for not only exams, but the next steps in their professional journey.

About the lesson

I am a Neuroscience Researcher based at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I am available to help with research projects, manuscript editing and critical evaluation of dissertation and coursework pieces. I have several published manuscripts at multiple internationally recognised journals, and have presented at international scientific conferences.

Edward is a great tutor who helped my son with combined science GCSE, particularly biology. My son has an autism diagnosis and does not always warm to tutors, or gets bored with them, but he enjoyed his sessions with Edward, and it definitely led to an improved grade compared to how he’d been doing in mocks. I highly recommend Edward to support you and your child - he was also very good at communicating, and flexible regarding occasional schedule changes.
