About Jamie
I recently graduated from UC San Diego as a Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience major, with minors in Bioethics and General Biology. I am preparing to apply to medical school in 2027. I have a strong academic background in math and science (biology, chemistry) and a passion for helping students succeed. Previously, I have tutored AP Statistics, AP Calculus, as well as Trigonometry and Algebra.
I take a personalized approach, adapting my teaching style to each student’s needs while focusing on building both understanding and confidence. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and leave each lesson feeling more confident in their abilities.

I have six years of experience tutoring math, working with students from elementary school through college. My approach is to first identify where a student is struggling, then break concepts into simple steps and use guided practice to build understanding and confidence. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, learning and reinforcing key concepts, working through examples, and practicing independently. I can help with homework, coursework, and test preparation, and I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, learning style, and specific goals.
