About Matthew
My name is Matthew Pulvermacher, and I am dedicated to helping students succeed in their STEM classes. With a strong academic background and years of professional experience, I bring both expertise and patience to every lesson. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, tackling challenges, and building lasting confidence in their abilities. Beyond academics, I value curiosity, encouragement, and making learning feel approachable rather than overwhelming. By connecting with students at their own pace and celebrating each step of progress, my goal is to ensure they not only improve their skills but also feel empowered in their learning journey.

I take a patient and adaptable approach to tutoring, focusing on breaking down complex math and science topics into clear, manageable steps. A typical lesson includes reviewing past material, introducing new concepts with simple explanations and examples, and practicing problems together to build confidence.
With a bachelors degree in Neurobiology and Psychology and now pursuing a Master of Public Health, I bring both strong subject knowledge and a unique perspective on learning. My lessons are tailored for middle school, high school, and early college students in subjects like algebra, biology, chemistry, and physics (perfect mentor for any pre-med student).
I make it a mission to make learning approachable and helping each student succeed.
