About Shirley

Hi, I’m Shirley. English has always been a language I’m comfortable with, as I’ve been speaking it since young, and I’ve also achieved a band 7.0 in IELTS.

I’m someone who is patient and easy to talk to, so you don’t have to feel nervous or pressured during lessons. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I’m happy to go at your pace and explain things in a way that makes sense to you.

I enjoy helping others improve, especially when it comes to building confidence in speaking and understanding English better. It’s always nice to see someone become more comfortable expressing themselves over time.

I also have some experience guiding students, so I understand the common difficulties learners face and how to overcome them step by step. I’ll make sure you feel supported throughout your learning journey.

About the lesson

In my lessons, we’ll focus a lot on practice because I believe that practice really makes perfect. I’ll guide you through different exercises and mock tests so we can see where you tend to make mistakes, and then work on improving those areas step by step.

For listening, we’ll do regular practice to help you get used to different accents and question types. For speaking, I’ll ask you a variety of questions so you can get comfortable answering confidently and naturally, just like in the actual test.

I’ll also give you feedback along the way so you know what to improve and how to do better each time. My goal is to help you feel more prepared, confident, and ready for your IELTS.
