About Sam

As a dedicated university student studying a bachelor of medicine, bachelor of surgery at JCU with a strong passion for Math and Science, I’ve always loved sharing what I’ve learned with others. Through 50+ hours of tutoring experience, I’ve seen firsthand how the right guidance and encouragement can make a real difference. I genuinely enjoy teaching and take pride in making tricky concepts easier to understand. I’m patient, enthusiastic and committed to helping my students grow. It’s really rewarding to see someone go from struggling to succeeding and I’m excited to be part of that journey. :)
I was awarded the 2025 ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Award in recognition of my demonstrated leadership and teamwork qualities.

About the lesson

I employ interactive methods, adapting to individual needs and hand out detailed homework sheets. Lessons are typically 1 hour. As a university student with top grades and passion for teaching, I cater to those up to and including Year 12 level in Maths and Science. Ultimately, by the end of the lesson, I aim to ensure the student feels comfortable and confident with the concepts that we covered.
