About Nicholas
Hello! I am Nicholas, an enthusiastic and empathetic teacher that is excited to help students at all stages of life. At the essence of math and science is developing problem solving skills. I find great satisfaction in solving puzzles and learning about complex systems and mathematical models, which I enjoy passing onto my students. Real world applications to developing skills and a foundational knowledge for math and computer science are often left out of academic courses or minimally touched upon. However, I am dedicated to gearing my lessons toward providing my students with practical and technical capabilities by helping to make these connections.
I also enjoy the act of teaching itself and have been developing this skill since I was in high school 8 years ago, where I first found my passion for teaching by helping other students to improve their skills on the violin. Since then, I have been working with universities and tech companies (iD Tech) to teach children (ages 7-17) and college students about computer programming, math, physics, and astronomy.
In my free time I like to play the violin and perform on the aerial silks and aerial hoop!

I have extensive experience in the field of science and academia and am capable of gearing tutoring toward setting up students for their future learning and work opportunities. I am able to provide knowledge from firsthand experience working in scientific research with some of the most infamous telescopes in the world and I can give insight into the expectations of competitive colleges and universities from my time attending a Top 20 University.
I am capable of tutoring students at all levels and ages for math, science, and programming and will adapt to the level of my students. Should you want lessons for a coding language not listed (Python, MATLAB, Java, Julia) feel free to still ask me! There is a decent chance I am willing and able to provide lessons.
