About Ejindu

I am a TEFL-certified tutor and native Igbo speaker from the Igbo-speaking Southeast of Nigeria. I know firsthand what it means to grow up as a Nigerian child outside of Nigeria. The distance from home has a way of creating distance from language too, and before long, children find themselves unable to speak, read or understand the tongue their grandparents speak, the language their family prays in, the words that carry their identity.

I experienced that struggle. And I made a decision that other children in my position should not have to.

Teaching Igbo to diaspora children and curious learners is not just a subject for me. It is a bridge I am committed to building, one lesson at a time. My lessons are warm, patient and structured to make Igbo feel accessible and alive, not like a chore or a reminder of what was lost.

Every child deserves to know where they come from. I am here to make sure language is never the barrier that stands in the way of that.

About the lesson

My Igbo lessons are designed for students who are starting from zero and want to build a real, working foundation in the language.

For diaspora children, lessons focus on vocabulary, everyday conversation, reading and writing in standard Igbo, giving them a genuine connection to their heritage rather than a surface-level familiarity. For general learners, we start with pronunciation, basic sentence structure and practical phrases before building toward reading and writing fluency.

Every session is 60 minutes, delivered online, with clear objectives and measurable progress by the end. Students leave each lesson with vocabulary they can actually use and structures they can build on independently.
