About Venetia
I have just finished my A levels in which I have been predicted x4 A* in biology, chemistry, physics and extended project qualification I am going to study Natural Sciences at university.
I have been providing one on one lessons in the sciences for GCSE level and below since 2017. Since I am currently studying and have relatively recently completed these exams; I have a strong understanding of how to achieve marks, and thus, the best possible grades. In my experience both with tutees, and my own learning, getting good grades ( especially at GCSE ), is highly dependant on the understanding of the examination and not just content.
All of the students I have tutored have progressed in their studies quickly. Previously running a science club, and being a scouts young leader, I am used to working with young people. This has prepared me to work with a range of children. In addition, I believe it has also helped to develop my teaching and communication skills. Within both of these roles, I have had the ambition to help inspire others to pursue interests in science.

I provide lessons in all sciences at GCSE level, KS3 and KS2. I am happy to focus on subject areas that the student struggles with. As well as this, I endeavour to aid the understanding of how to get extra marks in each particular exam board. From experience with past tutees, it is common that improving exam technique is as important as developing content knowledge and skills. In order to do this in my lessons, I will provide questions for my students to complete. I will also encourage my students to bring any questions they have struggled with to lessons, and we can work through them together.
