About Whitney
I studied Human Development specializing in developmental disabilities at Arizona State University. In 2010, I moved to Spain in order to learn Spanish and gain some more life experience. Over the past 6 years I have worked independently as an English teacher at several large and medium sized companies specializing in legal and business english. I also give private classes to both adults and children, these can be individual or group classes with between 3-5 people. Classes can be anywhere from once a week to intensive courses. I have prepared students successfully for various exams both national and International. These include ILEC/CAE/FCE/KET/PET.

Hi I'm Whitney! I'm a native English teacher who is fun, dynamic and highly qualified with over 6 years experience here in Madrid. My classes are specifically designed for you, and your goals. Each class depends on your specific challenges and objectives. I like to use students strengths and interests to help keep them motivated and feeling that they are progressing.
I personally believe that we are all unique and what works for one person may not work for another. My job as your teacher is to find what works best for you. Besides, teaching grammar, pronunciation, and so on, I also like to help my students realize the culture behind the way we speak. Where expressions come from, so to help them connect the dots for themselves and better remember. Whether you are studying for a certification, work, or travel; I use real life scenarios from your day to day to help you find your voice in english!
I'm a student and I know what it's like to learn a new language and live in a totally new place. For me, learning a language is not just about grammar but also about culture, their speech and their traditions. I want your study of English to be a pleasant and interesting experience!
