About Asanda

I am a 27 year old woman originally from Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal. I am a native isiZulu speaker as well as a former isiZulu student with a final IEB matric mark of 91% for isiZulu. I am a lawyer by profession, but my passion for helping others extends to tutoring.

Given my extensive knowledge of isiZulu, not just as a native speaker but as a former student, it gives me great pleasure to offer up any spare time that I have to help students achieve test and exam results that truly reflect the effort that they put into the subject!

I keep it light and professional in my class, with the focus always being on you and your needs. I am flexible in that I am open to listening to the suggestions of my students, however, I require an understanding from my students that my primary purpose is to help you meet your academic targets.

About the lesson

As a Native isiZulu Speaker as well as a former isiZulu student of 12 years during the course of my formal education, I have an intricate understanding of the different ways in which the language is both taught to and learnt by English speakers.

This, along with the first hand experience that I gained over the years whilst informally tutoring a number of my classmates as well as the fact that my final IEB isiZulu mark was 91% , place me in the best position to offer private tutoring to students ahead of their tests and exams.

In this regard, the focus of our private sessions will be the content of the upcoming tests or exams. Together, we will work through the course material which has been provided by your school, and you will always have the option of requesting further materials from me which may assist you further - if necessary.

Once we have worked through the course material provided by your school and depending on your personal needs, I may conduct mock tests or exams and/or hold a question and answer session in order to address any remaining questions or issues you may have with the work.
