About Laura

I am currently completing the last year of my degree in Primary Education (Bilingual) at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where I have been enrolled since September 2021. My academic training has given me a strong foundation in primary-level curriculum, child development and bilingual teaching methodologies, with a particular focus on Spanish and English language instruction.
My teaching experience spans several school settings across Spain and Ireland. At International House Madrid (March 2023 – January 2024), I taught English and Spanish to early childhood and primary-age students in a formal school environment over nearly a year. I also completed two school placements: a teaching practicum at Wisdom School in Madrid (January–February 2023), where I assisted in primary classrooms, supported small groups, and monitored student progress; and a five-month ERASMUS+ placement at St. Damian's National School in Dublin (January–May 2025), where I supported classroom teachers, taught Spanish, organized activities, and assisted students with special educational needs.
Across these roles, I have consistently worked with children in the primary school age range in both one-on-one and classroom settings, developing strong skills in adapting my teaching approach to individual student needs. I am a native speaker of Spanish and Galician, making me well-equipped to tutor Spanish at a native level. I also have additional experience supervising students in language immersion programs abroad (UK and Ireland), where I supported teachers and coordinated student welfare in international educational settings.

Drawing on my background as a native Spanish speaker and final-year Primary Education student, my Spanish lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each learner's level and goals. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to build confidence in conversation, I combine clear explanations with interactive activities to make learning feel natural and enjoyable. Having taught Spanish across classroom and one-on-one settings with children as young as 3, I know how to adapt my approach to suit different ages, learning styles, and paces - ensuring every student feels supported and motivated to progress.
