About Spanish

My name is Elia. I am a qualified secondary school teacher in Spain.
I have worked as a private and school Spanish teacher. In the last few years, I swapped to Online teaching and created my personal brand "Spanish Within".
I have experience in 1-1 lessons as well as in small groups, and I also offer specific ad-hoc workshops.
My saying is, `If you do not enjoy it, you be better off not doing it.´
I do love teaching Spanish. I go for broke in every class even though I feel energised after every single one.
I sympathise with the difficulties of learning a foreign language as I am an English student myself.
I enjoy sharing my `mother tongue´ with people. It is so rewarding to witness how students improve their language skills, even the most shy and unconfident ones.
I am so grateful that they feel so uplifted and encouraged by my teaching.

About the lesson

My classes are fun and flexible. I adapt the content to the student's needs and capacities. Every single student works differently and has a different learning process, roadblocks, and goals. I provide a bit of grammar, listening, speaking and vocabulary in each lesson. Although, that could change according to the dynamic of the class and the student's mood that day. My lessons can help you if you are shy or not confident when speaking another language.

Elia was recommended to me by a friend. Having moved to Spain almost a year ago, I really needed to get some basics, as I had zero exposure to the Spanish language. Elia is flexible with my learning style and each week we build on new areas and topics. Because Elia is Spanish but fluent in English I find the lessons to be fun and not too overwhelming. My initial goal was just to “get by” day to day but I can now see beyond this and feel I can push myself further with Elia’s weekly support! Highly recommend :)
