About Jezabel

SPANISH LANGUAGE SHARING For me language learning is a fluid two-way process in which we both actively learn something from each other. Whilst I show you the vocabulary, language technicalities, etc I learn more about what is driving you to learn Spanish, your specific needs and about your personality. And this, at the same time, helps me design personalised content in a more organic way. So, in a way, I see myself more like a “guide”, right next to you. Just like a friend.

I’m originally from a valley in southern Mexico called Orizaba. Historically speaking, this town is a magnificent place. For example, have you heard of “Cinco de mayo”? Well, Orizaba was the epicentre of that epic battle. Also, over time there’s been an interesting Spanish-French culture fusion thing going on there.

MY JOURNEY IN THE U.K
Back in 2016 right after finishing uni (BA in Hispanic Arts and Literature at University of Guadalajara) I moved to the U.K. and ever since I’ve had the opportunity to support people in their Spanish Learning journey in North Wales as well as Cheshire and Merseyside.

About the lesson

In these one-hour long sessions you are encouraged to embrace the language in an organic way. All areas are completely integrated and handmade to your specific goals. HOW DOES IT WORK EXACTLY? As the sessions progress, I will get to know more about your learning style and personality which allows us to finesse and handcraft the content, visual aids and after-session activities that work best for you. Therefore, no two sessions are the same! PERSONALISE THE SESSION: ● Pick the level you feel confident with, all the way from cero to conversational. ● Do you prefer the session to be delivered in Spanish, English or a mix? SOME OF THE AREAS COVERED: Grammar (From absolute basics to finding and filling the gaps) Extra Support with Verb conjugations Cultural insight and idioms Pronunciation (all the way from basics to accent reduction) Gradual Extensive Vocabulary All sessions include: HASSLE-FREE SESSION LINK -Easy and reliable access SHARED LOCATION -Keep everything in one easy-access place and forget about the mess. AFTER-SESSION ACTIVITIES -All included within one place. SESSION RECAP SHEET -Vocab, grammar, explored subjects seen and After-Session activities details. IN-BETWEEN SESSIONS SUPPORT -In case you need extra support with the After-Session Activities or any content clarification, In-Between sessions support is always available.

I meant to leave a review ages ago! I’ve had a lot of tutors in the past and I feel like Jezabel’s approach is nothing like I’ve ever seen. It’s a very eclectic method the one she uses that goes way beyond teaching grammar and just practicing conversation. She’s very empathetic which is a massive help as I’m a very shy individual.

Jezabel has always gone above and beyond with the way she teaches. Outside of lessons Jezabel will contact me in Spanish and start conversations and explain mistakes I’ve made and how to correct them. I think this alone amplifies how great Jezebel is and how much she cares because this is all in her spare time when she doesn’t have to do anything beyond the hours we agree to meet. Jezabel has been teaching me for 5 months now and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

She is a very friendly and professional teacher and had an assessment prepared to assess my current level, which helped me to identify the areas I need to work on.
