About Joanna

My name is Joanna Krajewski and I am currently pursuing my master's degree. I graduated from ESU with a Spanish degree in 2013.
I am currently a middle school Spanish teacher. All in all, this is my 10th year teaching.
Teaching has given me the opportunity to influence and help so many students. I love learning about different cultures around the world and I love to share my experiences with my students. I spend my summers traveling, both with my students and my family. I love planning trips for my students so we can travel abroad and see the world together. My ultimate goal is to create a diverse and inclusive classroom and environment that is understanding and respectful of everyone around them.

About the lesson

I enjoy creating an environment where the student feels comfortable to speak the language without having any prior knowledge of it. They will be able to hold a conversation in a short period of time.

My lesson plans are created to what the student needs and more. Every lesson is individualized for the student. All 4 foundations of the language are covered in my lessons: reading, writing, listening and speaking. My goal is to have my student be able to comprehend and speak the language with not only proper grammar, but also with a flavor of culture to it.

I am a New Jersey Board Certified K-12 Spanish teacher with 10 years of experience. I have taught over a thousand students in my career thus far. My passion for teaching includes all students from many different backgrounds. I have found since the pandemic began engaging students on a one on one basis virtually is especially satisfying.
