About Annabelle
I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, so not only am I a native speaker, I have also experienced the cultural aspects that surround the Spanish language. I moved to the UK when I was 18 to pursue a degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. As a foreigner, I love sharing my language and my culture with other people, as I truly believe learning another language can open a whole other world of content and opportunities to anyone.

My classes are delivered entirely in Spanish (of course adapted to a student's level), to create a safe environment where a student can practice safely and be consistently exposed to the language during the whole lesson.
I like to start by giving my students a diagnostic to get an idea of their level, and like to take an individual approach to my lessons. I incorporate into lessons exercises to tackle different areas of the language, and try to make them as interactive as possible (I will not talk at you for an entire lesson!)
As someone who is passionate about music, and with a degree in Musical Theatre, I love using it to provide students with a tool to practice the language outside of class - without even realising they're practicing!
I have a certificate from the Tía Tula institute, which is a centre accredited by the Instituto Cervantes, in teaching Spanish from levels A1-B1.
