About David

Hi, I’m David. I’m a native Spanish speaker from Spain and I have been living and working in Ireland for several years.

Living abroad has given me first-hand experience of what it feels like to communicate every day in a language that is not your own. I know that understanding a language in theory and having the confidence to actually speak it are two very different things.

I have worked for many years in customer-facing roles, so communication, listening and helping people feel comfortable are a big part of who I am.

I want to teach Spanish because I enjoy sharing my language and culture and helping people make real progress. Whether you want Spanish for traveling, spending time in Spain, work, meeting Spanish-speaking people or simply because you have always wanted to learn, I would be happy to help.

I’m friendly, patient and easy to talk to, and my goal is to create an environment where you can practice without feeling embarrassed about making mistakes

About the lesson

My lessons focus on practical Spanish that you can actually use in real life. As a native Spanish speaker from Spain living in Ireland, I understand that learning a language is not only about grammar – it is about gaining the confidence to communicate.

I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, interests and goals. If you are a beginner, we can start with the language you need for everyday situations and build naturally from there. If you already speak some Spanish, we can focus more on conversation, listening, vocabulary and improving your confidence and fluency.

We can use real situations such as travelling in Spain, ordering in restaurants, meeting people, shopping, work, everyday conversations and understanding how Spanish is actually spoken.

My approach is friendly, patient and practical. You do not need to worry about making mistakes – they are part of learning. The aim is to get you speaking Spanish from the beginning and help you progress at a pace that works for you.

Details

€23 per hour for both online and in-person lessons. 30-minute introductory session free. Discounted packages available: 5 hours for €105 and 10 hours for €200. In-person lessons can be arranged in a convenient public location in Galway.
