About Emilia
I'm a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in Mexico, and have been living in the UK for the past 5 years, so I understand firsthand what it's like to navigate a new language and culture.
Outside of teaching, I'm a young professional who loves reading, hiking and all kinds of crafts, and I bring that same patience and curiosity into every lesson. (:
I'm genuinely committed to helping each student reach their goals. Every lesson follows a structured plan, but stays focused on conversation so you build genuine confidence in Spanish, one session at a time.

¡Hola, soy Emilia!
I'm a native Spanish speaker from Mexico, and I've always loved sharing my language the way it's really spoken, not just the textbook version.
My lessons are relaxed, practice-focused, and built around you. I'm not a certified instructor, so instead I focus on talking, writing, and listening in real, natural contexts, with plenty of encouragement along the way to help you improve. I also help with writing corrections and textbook work as needed.
In our sessions, you can expect:
- Guided conversation practice on topics you enjoy.
- Writing exercises with feedback and gentle corrections.
- Listening practice with native-speed audio and accents.
- Everyday expressions, slang, and cultural context from Mexico.
- Tailored recommendations and materials to use at home for practice (books, movies, podcasts and music).
Whether you're a complete beginner just starting out or an advanced learner polishing your fluency, I'll adjust our sessions to fit where you're at.
