About Valerie
Hi! My name is Valeria, and I’m a native Russian speaker currently studying Nursing at Rīga Stradiņš University.
Russian has always been one of my favorite subjects. At school, I had strong grades in both Russian language and literature, and I especially enjoyed writing essays, reading, and working with texts. I still read regularly in Russian and genuinely enjoy the language.

I offer Russian lessons for different levels. If you are a beginner, I can teach and explain Russian in English. If you already have some knowledge of Russian, we can gradually switch to Russian-only lessons to help you become more confident and comfortable using the language naturally.
I can help you with grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, pronunciation, and conversational Russian. We can also focus on specific goals, whether you want Russian for everyday communication, studies, travel, or simply because you enjoy the language.
My teaching approach is individual. Everyone learns differently: some people remember things better visually, others through listening, conversation, reading, or practice. I will adapt the lessons, pace, and materials to the way you learn best.
Most importantly, I want my lessons to be a calm and comfortable space where you are not afraid to make mistakes. Mistakes are a normal part of learning a language, and my goal is to help you understand Russian, become more confident, and actually enjoy using it.
