About Chris
Hello, I’m Chris, a native Mandarin tutor with professional English. I help people speak Chinese with more confidence—clear pronunciation, natural phrases, and language that works in daily life and at work.
I hold a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and am comfortable in international, technical environments. Alongside my engineering background, I enjoy hands-on maker projects, which shapes how I teach: logical steps, concrete examples, and no unnecessary jargon.
Students often choose me because I combine patience with structure. You will always know what each lesson is for; I explain difficult points in English when helpful, then guide you to use more Chinese in real conversation. I focus on corrections that improve understanding—not interrupting every sentence.

Typical 60-minute lesson

New topic (20 min) — A small set of useful sentences; you repeat and use them in short drills.
Role-play (25 min) — Real situations (work, travel, or your topic); you speak most of the time.
Summary (10 min) — Main corrections and 3 phrases to practice before the next lesson.
