My Mandarin lessons are personalised, structured, and interactive, designed to suit each student’s goals and learning style. I focus on building strong foundations in pronunciation (pinyin and tones), practical conversation skills, and essential grammar, while also integrating Chinese culture to enhance understanding and confidence.
I use a communicative teaching approach, combining speaking practice, listening exercises, reading materials, and real-life scenarios. For beginners, I emphasise correct tone training and everyday vocabulary. For intermediate and advanced learners, I focus on fluency, exam preparation (such as GCSE or HSK), and natural expression.
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, though longer sessions can be arranged if needed. Each class includes revision, new content, guided practice, and speaking activities to ensure steady progress.
As a native Mandarin speaker with international academic experience, Luna understands the challenges faced by English-speaking learners and provides clear explanations in both English and Chinese.
