About Reina

Hi I'm Reina! I finished the IBDP/ high school in 2022.
I'm a 2nd year Psychology student studying at the University of Sydney in Australia. I have experience tutoring for several students including psychology and biology. Also holding valid Working with Children Check (expiring in 2028)!

I strongly believe that an interactive learning environment is key to fostering academic success. I strive to create a safe space where students feel comfortable asking questions, expressing their thoughts and even making mistakes!

I will be following every step- whether it's providing support for basic concepts, marking your practice responses, to preparing for the final exams!! I look forward to teaching you!

About the lesson

Lessons are targeted for any age from primary students to university students or adults, with levels beginner to pre-intermediate. Lessons will last 1-2h depending on what students require and it will be conducted online through zoom/ google meet. As a bilingual individual speaking both Japanese and English fluently, with educational backgrounds in both Japan and overseas (Fiji & Australia), my communication and conceptual understanding is trust-worthy.

During the free 30 minute session, we can discuss what kind of topics/ questions/ types of exercise (such as reading, speaking, etc) the student needs help with- and from there, I will plan a personalized teaching approach specific for the student! Through different mediums such as whiteboard functions on google, showing/ drawing diagrams to verbal communication, I try to use a variety of teaching methods to ensure every student is comfortable to understand the concept!

Although I have little experience as a tutor, my experience finishing the IB in 2022 and my personal experience with bilingualism, I can support you to improve your Japanese skills in no time!

Reina was great at teaching IB specific concepts. She also does both online and in person classes which is very convenient. She marks LAQs and SAQs as well as aching content which was very helpful. Overall I would definitely recommend her as an IBM psychology tutor!
