About Naomi
Hi, My name is Naomi! I live in the United States in the state of Illinois, which is in the middle of the country. I was born in Japan but grew up in New York and New Jersey. I recently moved to Illinois from California. I have worked as a professor at a college, helping students succeed in their goals, holding conversation groups for non-native speakers, and helping students to express themselves. I enjoy learning new languages and have studied Spanish and German as well. I consider myself to be fluent in both English and Japanese and have a reading comprehension level in Spanish and German. I am TESOL certified and while in Japan, I took the level two EIKEN test and passed with honors. I took the TOEFL to attend Creighton University and have also earned two master's degrees. My passion is hiking, travel, reading, baking and learning new things. I hope to see you in my class!
