About Fabi

I was born in Bamberg and I am currently finishing my teaching studies (English, Spanish and Teaching German as a Second Language for Bavarian Grammar Schools) . Over the course of my universitary education and teaching jobs, I draw on more than 6 years of practical experience teaching students of all ages, vastly different types of schools, professions group sizes: 1 on 1 classes, small groups as well as classes of up to 30 learners.

During that time, I taught English, Spanish and DiDaZ at a grammar school and a secondary school in Bamberg for a year, taught German as a foreign language at a Spanish comprehensive school and language school (ESO and EOI Segovia) for another year, ran several BAMF-certified integration courses (DTZ) for over 1 ½ years, prepared a large number of private students for level B1 of the TELC exam and very successfully held numerous customised German courses for foreign business clients (Bosch, BMW and Siemens).

Since 2020, my teaching and private tutoring has helped more than 100 students in English, Spanish, German and Mathematics to not only gain more self-confidence and understanding in those subjects, but also to find please and entertainment in them, enabling the learners to significantly improve their learning performance and grades within just a few weeks.

About the lesson

First of all, I determine the pupil's learning status and language level during an initial meeting, after which I set several individual learning goals (short-term, medium-term and long-term) in dialogue with them. I use these to adjust the content, modalities and methods of teaching to their individual learners' preferences and wishes.

At regular intervals, I give feedback on my students' learning progress, ask for their feedback and make adjustments to the teaching programme as necessary and at my students' request.

My lessons thrive on the interaction between student and teacher, which is why it is not only important to me to provide my students with the best possible professional preparation, but also to build up a good social and personal relationship, an atmosphere of well-being and trust.

After all, good teaching is not exclusively focussed on the subject matter, but rather geared towards the learner and their individual learning needs. That is my quality standard and promise.
