About Tom

Often, students feel discouraged by bad grades or too much work and I put myself in the place of those who, like me, have had difficulty with this. Above all, I want to prove that it is possible to change and improve just by adapting the working method. Indeed, the key to success sometimes does not lie in the amount of work but rather in the way you go about it. This is why my goal is to adapt as much as possible to the student and his needs to take into consideration all his shortcomings. My goal will be achieved when these are 100% eliminated.

About the lesson

In my opinion, a teacher who knows how to adapt to each student in addition to being attentive to their difficulties is the solution for successful learning!

I share with you a method that has helped more than a dozen of my former students to progress quickly and significantly:

1. Above all, don't work to get a good grade or turn in an assignment. Otherwise, you will not be motivated or at least you will not have the right source of motivation.
What is the right source of motivation in this case? The answer is simple: the desire to learn and understand. This is where the key to success lies because you will experience great satisfaction when you understand the exercises you are doing. The only thing that will push you to work is yourself and not your teacher!

2. Make a quick lesson sheet which takes up the essential points but do not use all your time doing this because the most useful thing is to:

3. Do exercises. Reading and understanding the course is a good thing but the most important thing is to practice, you will save a lot of time and energy.

4.A. If you really can't solve the exercise, look at the correction and try to understand it. Repeat until you succeed on your own by understanding what you have done.

4.B. If you have passed several exercises without looking at the correction (or very little), read the course. You will have done 95% of the work by practicing, all you have to do is read and understand the parts of the course that are not covered in the exercises.

Now it's time to talk about the working conditions you will have if you choose me to help you:

- I am someone who is above all attentive to the student. I listen to what he has to tell me about his difficulties and shortcomings in order to work as efficiently as possible.

- I am committed to doing my lessons in a fun way while adapting to the profile of the student because it is the best way to learn in my opinion.

- The first session will mainly consist of targeting your difficulties and strengths. Together we will tackle the elements that cause you the most problems and we will discuss the working method that suits you best. The idea is to focus on the essentials in order to optimize learning.

- During the sessions that will follow, we will deal with different exercises at your own pace and we will focus on the points that block to ensure constant progress.

For each session with me, do not hesitate to bring your copies of controls in order to analyze your mistakes, your course, book, and above all your energy!
