About Vaihere

I was born in Tahiti (where my mother is from) and my family and I moved to France when I was 5 years old (where my father is from). I grew up in a small village in Charente-Maritime (on the west coast of the country) and I earned my General Baccalauréat Degree with a major in Literature and a minor in music.

While still in high school, I decided to pursue my studies in the US and use my English Teaching skills to travel around Asia and South America. I did a bit of that before my (American) husband and I started our life together here. We now have two children and primarily speak French at home.

I have worked as a tour guide in both English and French for the Polynesian Cultural Center in Hawaii for a year. Then I tutored homeschooled students in French for 9 months until we moved to another state. We now live in Ozark, MO and already love this beautiful area.

About the lesson

Bonjour!

I earned a Bachelor's Degree in TESOL and, ironically, I now use my knowledge in teaching English to teaching my native language!

You can expect from me lessons customized to your own needs and proficiency level. We can also decide together how much historical lessons and pop culture you would like to include in our courses.

If you would rather spend most of our time together having conversations and reading together in French, that's great too. I am aware that people learn very differently from one person to another, and I believe that we can use several practical approaches to reach communication skills and language proficiency.
