About Maja
Bonjour! I am Maja, a native French/English speaker and Communications Strategist with a Master’s degree and 11+ years of professional experience in France and Canada. I understand the challenge many parents in Waterloo face: your child is in French Immersion, but you don't speak the language to help them with homework. That is where I come in. I currently serve as a Volunteer Literacy Mentor in the Waterloo school system, where I help students build their reading confidence and fix pronunciation errors. I know exactly where students tend to struggle with the curriculum because I help them navigate it every week. I am patient, encouraging, and passionate about turning "I don't get it" into "C'est facile!" (It's easy!).

Bonjour! Are you a parent stressing because you can’t help your child with their French Immersion homework? Or a professional looking to polish your bilingual skills for your career? I am Maja, a native French/English speaker and Communications Strategist with a Master’s degree and 11+ years of professional experience in France and Canada. I currently serve as a Volunteer Literacy Mentor in the Waterloo school system, where I help French Immersion students improve their reading confidence and pronunciation. Through this experience, I have seen exactly where students struggle with the current curriculum, and I know how to help them overcome it.
