About Ella-Marie
I am a native English and French speaker, having grown up mostly in England but always speaking French at home. I love languages, and am currently studying Politics and (Advanced) Spanish at a Russell Group university. Studying a language myself I know it can be difficult, but I know what works and what doesn't work in terms of teaching style, and most importantly, I am very patient!

I like to split lessons 50-50, starting with new vocabulary and verb conjugations, and then moving onto speaking and listening, practicing the vocabulary we have covered and expanding into more complex language.
At first I speak a mixture of French and English, but once students become more fluent, I like to speak exclusively in French, except to provide translations of new or unfamiliar words into English. I do this because it really helps with fluency of speaking and listening.
My lessons can be from 30 mins to 60 mins long- I cater to the needs of my students. I am happy to teach students of any age- I have experience teaching students as young as 5yo, and up until A-Level and University level.
