About Fatim
With over 5 years of tutoring experience and a strong background in IB Math, I help students build confidence and truly understand concepts. I’m bilingual in French and English, making lessons accessible to diverse learners.
I am both a native English and native French speaker. I went to a full-French speaking school in Canada for 8 years and completed higher level education in English. French, however, is native to me as my parents came from French speaking countries (Belgium and Ivory Coast) and thus English and French are spoken equally in my household. I have completed an International Baccalaureate diploma with a 100% average in English and 99% average in French.
Having completed an undergraduate degree in Integrated Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences, I bring real-world problem-solving and critical thinking skills to my teaching. Now training to become a Physician Assistant, I’m passionate about helping students succeed academically and develop a lifelong love for learning.

I am comfortable working with people of all ages and am very passionate about what I do.
I will effectively be able to guide students on the path to success as a result of my ample amount of experience.
A typical class will involve developing listening skills through watching videos and answering questions regarding the video that the student is currently watching to demonstrate understanding. There will then be a reading portion that will allow the student to develop both speaking abilities as well as as reading. Once again there will be comprehension questions that are asked to check understanding. Throughout the lesson we will be communicating in French unless instructed otherwise or if I am working with someone that has no prior French knowledge. Throughout we will also be keeping track of any vocabulary that the student does not know so that we can build a bank of new vocabulary that the student can use to help support their French learning. The class will be very conversational (in French) to help really allow the student to put their new knowledge into practice.
