About Catrina

Hello! I'm Catrina and I'm currently studying languages at Durham University. I grew up in a bilingual household so I understand personally how challenging learning a new language can be, and language acquisition. I've tutored languages for over three years and worked with refugees to improve their language skills in Spanish and French. I have lots of experience teaching different ages and abilities, from 7 to 50!

About the lesson

Are you looking to learn English, or improve your level? I have a TEFL certificate, in which English grammar and Teaching Methodology were key modules, meaning I am well equipped to help you learn English. With over 3 years of experience, I am well prepared to teach, no matter your age or experience. My first lesson will be about learning your current ability and working together to create a plan that suits your goal. This helps me create a personalised plan of action for your lessons, tackling any particular areas of interest. My classes will cover grammar, vocabulary, formal and informal uses of English. Each lesson will have a focused skill, through which we will explore the curriculum and expand on vocab, grammar structures and real world application.
