About Coleen

My name is Colleen Yost. I live on the big island of Hawaii and have worked as a tour guide here for over 15 years. I love teaching people about the environment, fauna and history of the island here. I have experience teaching environmental education to youth for over 15 years. I recently traveled to Asia and had the opportunity to make friends and exchange language lessons there. A few teachers I met were very encouraging and told me I should teach for work there. I find it easy to talk to people and have a vast vocabulary. Here in Hawaii my peak season is the summer. Time wise that creates a perfect opportunity to pursue virtual teaching. Teaching is in my blood. My mom is an English teacher and my brother is a science teacher. I am honored to carry the torch and utilize my talents branching out into my calling as an English teacher.
