About Rachel
I am a 22-year old female from Ireland (with a neutral accent). I received a distinction in TEFL (92%). This year, I have graduated from Maynooth University with a BA degree in Spanish and Psychological Studies and received an upper second class (2:1) result. I am very passionate about teaching and have experience working in two language schools. Currently, I am working for an agency called Oxinity and I give online classes. Having studied Spanish, I understand what it takes to learn a language and as a teacher, I have learned the most efficient, enjoyable ways to teach it. I use a student-centred approach, meaning the student is actively learning through participation. I try to make my classes feel like a conversation so the student enjoys it and doesn't even realise they're learning. Oral and listening skills are what I focus on as these are the most challenging parts of learning a language, especially when practising alone.
