About Cameron
Hello! My name is Cameron. I am a native English speaker who has a passion for teaching English. My extensive experience, English BA, various teaching certificates, and contagious enthusiasm for education set me apart as a tutor. I am well-equipped to help students of all ages take their English to the next level! Originally from California, I am currently based out of Costa Rica as an aspiring digital nomad and author. Apart from teaching, my interests include: hiking, reading, writing, playing guitar, scuba diving, yoga, painting, and learning new languages. I am also extremely passionate about the environment and aim to reduce my carbon footprint, while educating and encouraging others to do the same :D

My extensive experience, English BA, teaching certificates, and contagious enthusiasm for education sets me apart as a tutor:) As a visual learner, I found it difficult to stay engaged in class; therefore, my teaching method is primarily interactive/hands-on and revolves around connected learning experiences that help students stay engaged with the material. My lessons are heavily conversation-based to give my students the confidence they need to speak their newfound language. Although I emphasize speaking practice, my approach is comprehensive as I cover reading, writing, grammar, and listening as well as speaking in every lesson! My lessons can be adapted for all ages and levels.
