About Anum

I am a passionate creative writer and professional English language teacher from the United Kingdom! I love words, language, and helping people. By teaching others English, I can combine my passions! I am friendly, hard-working and fully dedicated to help you achieve your language goals in a fun and effective way!

About the lesson

Learning a language should be fun and exciting! Though it can be hard, it can still be fun with the right support. We will work on your English language journey together!

In our first lesson I will ask you some questions about why you want to learn English, your hobbies and your preferred methods of learning English. Do you love watching videos? Do you prefer to read? Do you love speaking? This way I can create a unique learning path for you, based on the method you love to work with, and with material that is interesting to you to help you feel more motivated and to speed up your learning!

A typical lesson will look like this:
1. We start with the topic of interest, and engage you using the methods you like. For example if we are studying the topic of holidays, we will start with a video/audio/script depending on what you like.
2. We will practise some vocabulary around the topic, with some pronunciation help, and some activities. For example, we will discuss the type of words you use when talking about holidays.
3. We will go into the topic more, helping you to build your confidence using the vocabulary learnt, to complete more difficult activities. I will ask you to help me complete sentences, select the right word and to complete other games and activities.
4. I will encourage you to use what you learnt to independently form the language, and provide you with feedback.

I can also provide you with homework and I can mark it for you before the next session to help you progress faster!

Working on both your strengths and weaknesses, together we’ll improve your speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in General English! Let’s start this journey together!
