Beginner Level
Introduction to Chinese Sounds and Ttones
Learn pinyin (Mandarin) or jyutping (Cantonese) and practice pronunciation of initials, finals, and tones. Get started with basic greetings.

Basic Vocabulary and Characters
Learn 10-15 simple Chinese characters, their meanings, and how to write them with proper stroke order.

Introducing Sentence Structure
Build basic sentences using common verbs and vocabulary. Practice forming simple Subject-Verb-Object sentences.

Perfect! Jason is an incredibly patient and passionate tutor who will go above and beyond to ensure you’re understanding everything he teaches. His lesson plans are very engaging, thoughtful and well structured that aligns with your individual goals. He creates a comfortable learning experience where you feel confident asking any questions and will take the time to fully explain things clearly until they click. In the few weeks he’s been teaching me I’m already feeling more confident in my pronunciation and listening skills thanks to his teaching style and would not recommend anyone else who is looking to learn Cantonese effectively.
