About U Cheng
I have worked as a part-time English tutor in Macau during the winter holiday two years ago. I used to teach students aged 10 to 16.
Born and raised in Macau, Cantonese naturally became my mother tongue. I obtained A grade for A-level Chinese in 2015. The two years of boarding school life in Zhuhai and the two years of University life in Guangzhou enable me to acquire proficiency in Mandarin.
As a Business English student, I have made good use of my bilingual communication skills and I have working experiences such as being a part-time Mandarin-English interpreter at the China Import and Export Fair (2018). I enjoyed acting as the bridge for communication and I would love to share my language knowledge through teaching!

I am currently an exchange student at the University of Birmingham. My home University is Jinan University in Guangzhou, China. I use student-centered approaches in my teaching. I value feedback and I am always willing to tailor customized learning plans for my students. As a language tutor, I believe my core mission is to facilitate the learning process through arousing students' interest in the target language.
