About Emily
11 years of public speaking and debate has not only been about winning awards for me. I have indeed won countless gold medals in both fields at local, regional, and provincial tournaments. I have qualified for speech nationals five times and set my school's record. I have earned several scholarships with the Royal Conservatory of Music. I have won regional international speech contests and provincial debate tournaments. Beyond this laundry list, my greatest achievement comes from the community I have grown. The coaches that helped me, the friends I met at competitions, and the students I have instructed all impacted me the most. I aspire to share my passion for writing, speaking, debating, and community with as many students as possible!

Writing and selecting pieces is one form of art, but speechifying them is a whole other world! These skills are crucial in persuasion, entertainment, and life— and not to be disillusioned by a boring English class. In my lessons, students learn lifelong skills not by lectures, but hands-on engagement, drills, and games.
