About Rachel

My name’s Rachel, I am 23 and a third year pharmacy student. I was looking for a part-time job and thought this would be perfect as I can also help others on the same or similar paths I was on.

About the lesson

For the time being I only offer online lessons but I am fully equipped to make them seem in-person! The first lesson will establish what your learning needs are and exam boards/curricula I need to take a look at to make sure I can obtain all the material I need for it. Then during a typical lesson we will go through the content of the curriculum while answering any questions/concerns you may have about it. As lessons pick up I will assign small amounts of work you can do in your own time to facilitate the learning and we will also go over this in the lessons. And of course I will put together sufficient questions provided by the exam board and ones I have found myself on the content during lessons. I can do this in the style of doing the question myself and talking you through my thought process or having you do the question and I explain the answer and break it down to simplicity (I tend to think a mixture of both is the best.)

I always thought I was just bad at maths and I expected to fail my maths GCSE but Rachel helped me find a new found love for maths after breaking down the questions and formulas in way that made sense for me. I won’t suddenly be getting a A* up from a D but I now feel confident that I will have passed my GCSE maths and can now do A-level Biology (which I was very worried about not being able to do if I failed). Rachel didn’t make me feel stupid when I struggled. She was very patient and made the lessons fun. I will miss our sessions :(
