About Sakeef

I am currently an undergraduate student at Cornell University's School of Architecture, Art, & Planning majoring in Urban Planning along with two minors in Business and Law. I am also a graduate of the Bronx High School of Science and this blend of humanities and stem related fields has allowed me to build a skillset in many concentrations.
I have taken exams required in the New York State region such as the State Exams, Regents, SHSAT, and self taught myself for the ACT exam in which I achieved near perfect marks and high grades throughout.
I have tutored students before in group and individual settings for SAT exam prep as well as in class coursework and I believe I have the necessary academic requirements and social skills to foster strong academic growth for my students.

About the lesson

I plan to combine materials a student may have along with materials that I have used myself in order to help students approach classes in different matters that are comfortable to them.
A typical session may range from 1-2 hours or however long the student feels comfortable. In these lessons, I would dedicate time to explain the material to them, understand how the student feels about the material, as well as give independent time during the session to practice so I am aware if they understand the material.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I have a broad range of experience from work to academic coursework. As a student of the Bronx High School of Science and now Cornell University, I have immersed myself in different courseworks and curriculums ranging from STEM related fields to humanities courses.
For math classes, I seek to tutor students in the elementary school, middle school, and test prep groups. This can include elementary math, middle school math, SAT, SHSAT, Regents, State Exam, algebra, etc.
For any sort of humanities classes, I seek to tutor students of any academic level up to university. This can include essay writing, reading comprehension, poetry, college essays, as well as exam prep.
