Hi, my name is Huda. I am an Earth Sciences student at the University of Birmingham giving lessons in Geography also with an A* in A-Level Geography and an 8 at GCSE!

About Huda
Over the past few years, I have gained experience tutoring students from Year 7 up to Year 13 in various subjects such as Psychology, Maths, and Geography.
I am currently studying MSci Geology and Physical Geography at the University of Birmingham.
In my A-Levels, I achieved an A* in Geography, an A* in Business, an A in Psychology, and an A in Extended Project Qualification.
With the current pandemic, I have experienced firsthand how much the past lockdowns have created lost teaching time which has had an impact on students' confidence and knowledge in the subjects they study. By taking the role of a tutor, I hope to help students with this and contribute to making their lives as a student that little bit easier.

Having completed A-Level Geography myself, I can use my experiences to inform the decisions and methods I use to teach the subject. For example, I know that the subject is based around case studies and these are needed to support explanations in exam questions. So, I teach how to memorise key information from case studies and how to use them best to support your answer.
I base my classes on what my students are struggling to understand, giving a simple explanation so students can grasp what the topic is about. Once I know this knowledge is secure, I will teach the more difficult parts of the topic. Difficult is very different for each student. I will also provide resources such as worksheets, textbooks and my personal notes I made for revision and exams.
