About Wei Yi

I enjoy both teaching and performance, both have been my passion. Through performance, I stay physically and mentally sharp, while teaching allows me to share my knowledge and grow by learning from my students' challenges. Teaching has been both fun and challenging, it's inspiring to see young talents and people who are interested to learn despite of age. It's always rewarding to witness my students' progress. I look forward to meeting motivated learners who are eager to grow. I offer Rm100/hr for regular students who buy 10 Lessons at once.

About the lesson

Former teacher at Bentley Music Academy and Allegro Music School. I offer online music lessons for:
- Violin, Viola, Theory classes for all levels and ages
- Preparation for graded exams like ABRSM, Trinity Exams
- Preparation for boarding schools or university entrance exams
- Auditions for orchestras
- To play violin/viola with worship team in church! :)
Many people think that online classes is incomparable to live classes, believing that much is lost through transmission but that is not 100% true. Since the Covid-19 lockdown, music classes are unfortunately only possible through online, and during this time I have realized many things could be trained by ears, one could learn how to detect those details through the technology we have. And as a real example, I even prepare my Master's graduation program with my Professor in Austria through online lessons, We rarely met in person but were still able to accomplish a great deal. As someone who has experienced online learning both as a student and a teacher, I can confidently say that online lessons work well. Of course, whenever possible, I’m happy to arrange live lessons if I’m in KL.

Live classes/Masterclasses are available whenever I am back in Kuala Lumpur.

Promotion price: I am offering Rm 100/hr for students who are regular and buy lessons in package. Normal price: Rm150/hr.
