About Sam
I'm an Austin born and raised musician. I've been playing music and performing for crowds since I was 13, and am proud to say that I get to do so as a full-time career as an adult. I have played with musicians such as Gary Clark Jr, and Victor Wooten, and am very excited to work with you on your musical journey.
Today, I play for entertainment companies, touring bands, and local Austin artists with original music, and more.
If you're someone who wants to learn their favorite song, write music, or just have fun playing an instrument, we will have a great time learning together!

About the lesson

- Approach is key to learning an instrument, but not everyone is the same. I will pay attention to individual needs and goals, and help you with lessons that strengthen your weaknesses and reinforce your strengths.
- A typical lesson would begin with some simple exercises regardless of skill level. We would then go into the main work that needs to be done, whether that is learning the notes to a song, or practicing something difficult to a metronome. Finally, we'll recap and take some notes on things that were easy, and stuff that was difficult.
- Unlike most music teachers, I won't just teach you your favorite song. I'll help you develop the tools, understanding, and workflow needed to teach yourself music, and how to uncover more of its secrets for yourself.
- Lessons for any age, and most skill levels. Advanced bass and drums, and intermediate piano and guitar.
