About Ariel

Hello, my name is Ariel Rodrigues, originally from São Paulo, SP. I'm a musician and a writer. I moved to Curitiba to study Music Therapy in 2016, but decided to leave the course not to identify myself with the same. Since then, I have been living in Curitiba, looking for work in the area to stay here, and trying to enter the Lutheria course at UFPR. I have been a musician for at least 14 years, starting with guitar, then guitar, and finally keyboard / piano, as well as singing, which I practiced during the period in which I started to learn, as well as basic knowledge with bass, ukelele and ladder. Later, I went into musical theory to perfect my knowledge and practice. When I say that I have absolute listening, I intend to demonstrate my confidence with my ear, and thus help people to develop their musical perceptions. I worked as a band, solo musician; as composer, arranger and musical director for theater, signing my own soundtrack in a show (more information in my attached resume); keyboard and piano teacher; musical transcriber; composer for short films, having received an award of recognition by one of them. About the lesson

My classes are dedicated to all people, whether those who want to start at the beginning, or are already well developed and seek improvement. My knowledge in the field of music can be theoretical or practical, or both, depending on the needs of the student. For the younger ones, I prefer to present the instrument they wish to learn in an introductory way, so that they can identify with it (try them out, with the intention of knowing it better, experiencing possibilities). Then came the teachings on posture, execution, finger position, and initiation exercises (for both stringed and keyed instruments). Subsequent teachings would be presented, according to the progress in student performance. If you wish to perfect musical perception and improvisation, a minimum knowledge of theory is desirable, so that the musical language can be applied with the least difficulty. Exercises that can vary from solfege to analysis of a song (analyze timbre, melody, harmony, rhythm, interpretation). Musical theory is aimed at all who wish to delve into the theoretical area of music. The student will learn to read and understand the symbols of a score, as well as develop the ability to write their own.
