About Eros
Music has always been a significant part of my life, and I am passionate about helping students discover their own confidence and enjoyment in learning it. I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance, encouragement, and a supportive learning environment.
I hold a Bachelor of Music from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, specializing in Classical Performance on tuba, and a Master of Teaching from the University of Melbourne, specializing in secondary classroom and co-curricular music.
I am a former VCE Music Performance student, as well as having experience in AMEB music theory exams.
Through my studies and classroom experience, I have developed a strong understanding of both music and effective teaching practices. I have worked with secondary students in diverse classroom settings and understand the demands of the Victorian curriculum, including VCE Music.
As a tutor, I am approachable and committed to helping students achieve their individual goals, whether that is improving classroom results, preparing for performances, building confidence, or developing a lifelong appreciation for music. I strive to make every lesson engaging, challenging, and enjoyable while adapting my teaching to suit each student's unique needs and learning style.

I provide engaging, structured music lessons tailored to each student's goals, experience, and learning style. I specialize in supporting students of all ages requiring assistance with music theory-related activity, including those studying VCE Music, helping them build both practical musicianship and a strong understanding of music theory, analysis, and aural skills.
My background in both music performance, education and as a student allows me to combine strong subject knowledge with effective teaching strategies.
My teaching approach is patient, encouraging, and student-centered. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and use a combination of practical demonstrations, guided practice, listening activities, and targeted feedback to develop confidence and musical independence.
Lessons are designed to reinforce classroom learning while addressing each student's individual strengths and areas for improvement.
Lessons typically run for 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged depending on the student's needs and assessment schedule.

My lessons are ideal for students of all abilities, including those undertaking beginner music theory through to those undertaking VCE Music, preparing for SACs or performance examinations, or looking to strengthen their musicianship and achieve their personal best.
