About Siyuan
I am a graduate student currently doing my MMus in Literature and Performance. I received my undergraduate degree in History, Theory, and Critical Analysis, with a concentration in theory. In my last year, I worked as a TA for first year theory classes as an employee of the university.

I like to teach with non-musical visual aids and plenty of analogies. That being said, to me, one of the benefits of one-on-one teaching and tutoring is the chance to personalize instruction. I want to work with the student to create a vocabulary that makes sense to them and to move at whatever pace the student sets. The more comfortable someone is, the more receptive they will be to absorbing the material.
