About Natalie
Hello! I'm Natalie, a Grade 10 IB Honor Student (95%+) at CDNIS and professional musician (international harp competitions, HKAPA Junior Music Program Piano Major) with 12+ years of performance experience. My leadership roles including Marketing Director at World Health Club CDNIS and IYNA Research & Publications Team ensure professional organization and communication, while my Yale Psychology (Coursera) training + experience through the PYP and MYP with honor roll certificates every year give me deep G1-8 subject knowledge across all subjects taught during these few years. I'm excited to help you or your child build confidence through personalized, creative lessons!

As a Grade 10 IB Honour Student (95%+) and professional musician (International harp competitions, HKAPA Junior Music Programme Piano Major), I bring academic excellence and performance-level discipline to every lesson. With deep subject matter expertise across Music, Math, English, Biology, and Geography, I effectively adapt to each student's individual progress by tailoring personalized lesson plans that build confidence and mastery.
My Teaching Approach
- Music (Performance): Spotting all details in students' playing and going through each in detail; I find this the best and most effective approach for rapid improvement
- Music (Theory): Introducing concepts (e.g. transposition, voice leading) using past papers/exam questions while building long-term skills like composition (both classical and modern)
- Academics: Reviewing & strengthening coursework taught in school, along with providing practice questions and homework, or teaching extending to future concepts beyond coursework to provide students with a deeper understanding of the subject
- Student-led: 70% guided practice, 30% direct teaching
- Parent partnership: Detailed session reports & notes on Notion
What Sets Me Apart
Being a student leader both within and outside school, I communicate effectively and patiently with students and parents while maintaining professional yet encouraging relationships, backed up by my experience as a Marketing Director at World Health Club CDNIS and Research & Publications Team Member at International Youth Neuroscience Association where communication and organization skills are absolutely essential. As a current Grade 10 student myself, I know and understand exactly what G1-8 students need to build confidence and skills.
Perfect for Grades 1-8 students seeking:
- Music performance/theory (harp, piano, ABRSM/Trinity prep)
- Math/English/Biology/Geography foundations
- IB pathway families wanting structured progress (PYP & MYP student myself)
- Busy HK parents (flexible Google Meet, detailed session logs)
