About Charles
I am originally from the east coast, growing up in the Philadelphia area before moving to the Sacramento region! I have both a bachelor's and master's degree from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. I have been very fortunate to begin teaching shortly after, and have maintained a consistent schedule of piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice students. In my non-teaching time, I enjoy cooking, exercising, and doing my best to keep my houseplants alive!

Hello! My name is Charlie Pokorny, and I have been a music teacher for over 10 years. I have a bachelor's degree in music education, a master's degree in double bass performance, and a California teaching credential in the subject of music. With students starting as early as four years old, all the way up to 70 years young, I know it's never too early or late to start learning a fun and valuable skill and the joys of music. With 10 years of both private and group instruction experience, I am comfortable with many different learning styles, and can adapt to help you fit your learning goals and needs.
