About Emily
I started the flute at age nine through wider opportunities at school, and continued learning outside of school. I worked through the grades and also achieved a GCSE and A level in music. I then decided to pursue a degree in music from York St John University, achieving a 2:1. This further pushed my passion for the flute. I grew as a player, getting opportunities for weekly concerts, and playing in different ensembles. I volunteered for York Music Centre, helping with the concert band and the folk orchestra. In the 2 years since I graduated I have been working in schools.

Pupil led teaching, where the pupil voice is important on what use bot studies and pieces, don't have to work towards exams. 30, 45 or 1 hour long lessons either online or at my home. From Beginners to more advanced students, at any age. I hold a BAHons in Music from York St John University, completing modules in Music in Education and Lifelong Learning and Community Music and graduating with a 2:1. I am also working towards my ARSM Diploma. I have been playing the flute for 14 years.
