About Edward
I am a graduate from the University of Leeds where I studied Music for three years, specialising in analysis and film composition. I have given private lessons in ABRSM Music Theory over the last two years, as I believe strongly in the importance of an understanding of the tools for practical music-making. I am an active arranger, producer, and composer of a broad range of music, and recently wrote commissioned music for a short film on BBC Online.

My lessons focus on achieving an understanding of the skills required to achieve your musical goals, which vary enormously from student to student. I emphasise establishing the student's end goals immediately, then constructively working towards them, be it through learning and developing the fundamentals of music theory, music production, composition, or active approaches to listening. These lessons are aimed at anyone studying Music in secondary education who wants to cultivate the skills to fly high and find new enjoyment in music through understanding.
