About Daniel

I have studied music as a specialist subject for the past 6 years, earning a level 2 Diploma in Popular Music from the Colchester Institute, a level 3 Diploma in Popular Music from the Colchester Institute and a Bachelors Degree in Popular Music from the Leeds College of Music.

I have taught music in groups and on an individual basis for the past 6 years, seeing students go from absolute beginner to performing in a band over a short time and having the honour to watch them flourish as musicians in their own right.

About the lesson

Having been a musician since the age of 8 I've been through a number of teachers and am fully aware of the challenges and stresses this can impose on a student. Since I started teaching 6 years ago my aim has been to reduce any pressure or anxiety by making lessons an enjoyable and collaborative experience, centred entirely on the individual needs of each learner.

I am a multi-instrumentalist able to give lessons in guitar, piano, drums, bass, music production and music theory.

I will travel to wherever the student feels most comfortable learning.

With extensive experience in all areas of music I will offer insider-knowledge on how to write songs, start a band, get gigs, manage social media pages, promote yourself as a musician/artist and just about everything else in between.

If you have a friend who might also like to learn I offer discounted lessons for £18/h each.

Longer or shorter sessions available if required.

First lesson is a free half-hour session allowing us to establish exactly what kind of direction you'd like to go in with your learning.
